Wow!! What a great week we have had at Boggess!
Our 5th graders had a marvelous time at camp this week. We were a little wet and cold, but that did not stop us from learning and enjoying the outdoor activities. Students had the opportunities to enjoy fishing, canoeing, hiking, singing campfire songs, outdoor teambuilding activities, competitions and eating smores. Performing their skits was one of the many highlights at camp. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the parent volunteers who chaperoned at camp. You were fantastic!
Thank you to all of the volunteers who kept our library open while Ms. Brandenberg was at camp. Your time was greatly appreciated.
Our Boggess Canned Food Drive is in full swing. Thank you for the donations. We will continue to collect food items through December 2nd.
Our kinder enjoyed the Kindergarten Feast on Thursday. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers who helped make it successful. The kids had a great time.
All students received a ticket to the 2022 Lights on the Farm Heritage Farmstead Museum. Lights on the Farm is a special event in partnership with the City of Plano. Tickets are valid November 25th-December 30th.

Volunteers
We love our volunteers at Boggess. All volunteers will need to create an account and complete an application, online orientation and background check through the Plano ISD volunteer management system, VOLY, to be eligible for district/school volunteer opportunities. Please visit plano.voly.org to create a volunteer account and begin this process. These items will need to be completed by volunteers each school year.
Meet the Principal
Hello everyone,
Welcome to Boggess! At Boggess Elementary, our mission is to inspire successful life-long learners. It is my belief that the school environment should be a welcoming environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, learning is a priority for all, connections to the community are strong, and students grow both academically and socially in a safe learning environment.
I love reading, walking, shopping and taking road trips with my family. My husband and I are extremely blessed to have our daughter, her husband and our two wonderful grandchildren nearby.
I am honored to serve the Boggess community and I feel very fortunate to work with such amazing children and such a dedicated staff. I am just as excited for this school year to begin as I was 34 years ago when I first began my career in education. I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting those new to the Bengal family.
Working together I know we will make this school year one of growth, excitement, and achievement for all students.

I invite you to stay involved and informed. Below are several ways to stay connected:

I strongly encourage all families to join PTA. Our PTA has a strong partnership with our school that benefits every child! The programs, volunteer support, family events and financial support are part of what makes Boggess great.
Thank you for sharing your child with us!
