CFCC Dual Enrollment Information Sessions

Current sophomores or juniors interested in taking courses at CFCC next year through the Career and College Promise (CCP) program, there will be informational sessions for families in the NHHS Media Center.

February 27 from 4:30-5:30- CCP Information Session
March 6 from 5:30-6:30- CCP Information Session

ACT February 29 for 11th grade

A-C-T, It’s easy as 1-2-3, as simple as Do re mi, A-C-T, 1 2 3. Baby you and me girl! The ACT exam will be given on Thursday, February 29th to all 11th-grade students. This is a mandatory North Carolina exam that is part of the school accountability model. Please carefully read the information below and access our testing website for further information.

Exam start time: 8:30 am
School day schedule: The day will start with an extended 4th block. Once testing is completed, students will move through their other classes.
Assignments: All teachers will provide students with work to complete during the extended period to ensure that students are academically engaged.
Rosters: Will be posted by Tuesday in front of the Media Center and the stairwells on the 300 floor
Students should bring their fully charged laptop and charger on the day of testing.
If students have Grammarly on their laptops, it must be disabled.
Parents/guardians are asked to review this presentation with their students prior to the exam day as it contains important information regarding test scores, exam practice, and technical requirements.

Cap and Gown Delivery and Class Ring Information

With this ring I promise I’ll always love you, always love you! Juniors, with this Class Ring Meeting on Tuesday, February 27 at 10:45 in Brogden Hall you will get information ordering a ring from Herff Jones. Please bring a pencil with you to the session.

Seniors! Cap and Gowns will be delivered on March 15 during lunches.

2024-2025 Course Registration Information

Students and Parents, this Wednesday, February 28th, students will receive 2024-2025 Course Registration Forms and information on how to select courses for next year. March 4-April 19 NHHS Counselors will meet individually with all students through 2nd block classes to go over their course selections and input them into PowerSchool.
