DECEMBER NEWSLETTER
Message from Mr. Hoheisel
Dear Families,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the season's spirit. As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt wishes to each and every one of you. May this time bring you moments of joy, connection, and reflection as you gather with loved ones. Whether you celebrate or simply enjoy the festive atmosphere, I hope it is a time of warmth, togetherness, and shared moments of happiness.
Our school community is a rich tapestry of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, and it is this diversity that makes us strong and makes us a Lion Pride. As we come together to celebrate, let us embrace the unity that comes from understanding, respect, and a shared commitment to the well-being and success of our students.
As we celebrate L&C's vibrant Pride, let's take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the unsung heroes who play a pivotal role in shaping our children's futures – our dedicated teachers. Their commitment, passion, and tireless efforts create an environment where our children can thrive and learn. On this special occasion, let's join together as a community to extend our sincerest thanks to the incredible teachers who contribute so much to our children's growth and education.
Whether it's a simple note, a small token of appreciation, or a heartfelt message, let's make sure our teachers feel the love and recognition they truly deserve.
Thank you for being an integral part of our school family. Your support and engagement contribute to the vibrant and nurturing environment we aim to create for every student. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful winter season filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments.
Warm Regards,
Mr. Hoheisel
Principal

Message from the Nurse
Is my child too sick for school???
In case of a fever:
Following any fever over 100.4 degrees, a child should stay at home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of over-the-counter products (i.e. Motrin, Tylenol -never give a child aspirin). During the early morning hours, a child's temperature will often register as normal, whereas later in the day it may rise again. This is one reason why a child needs a period of at least 24 hours without an elevated temperature before returning to school.
In case of vomiting and/or diarrhea:
Children who have been vomiting or have diarrhea need a period of time to regain strength before returning to school. Children should be kept home a minimum of 24 hours after the last bout of vomiting and diarrhea.
We want your child to feel good and get the most out of their day. Please support this by following the above guidelines and let your child recuperate before returning to school. This will help the other students and staff be healthy.
Please contact Layne, our school nurse, if you have any questions or concerns.
