Ranger Report
September 15, 2023
Hello Ranger Families:
Today we completed our first REID day at the high school. It was great to see students taking advantage of the extra time to connect with teachers and focus on their learning. Today, we had a 58% attendance rate for REID day and I am looking forward to partnering with all of you to increase that number in the weeks to come. In addition to participating in today’s learning opportunities, I sincerely hope that your student has found other ways to be involved. I would like to continue to encourage all of our students to join clubs, attend athletic events and partake in every opportunity the school has to offer. Enjoy the sunshine this weekend and:

Suicide Prevention Month
September is suicide Prevention Month and our Ranger community is committed to increasing awareness and ensuring the safety and well-being of all of our students. Please know that our school counselors and select student mentors are trained in QPR response protocols (Question - persuade - refer) and we are here to help our students at anytime. If you have concerns or know someone who needs help, please reach out to us immediately.

SENIOR PHOTOS are due February 1. They can be sent via email to Jordan Collins at collinsj@estacada.k12.or.us. All photos must be high quality and in portrait format. On the retake picture day, all seniors will take a Tux or Drape photo in case they do not submit a senior photo!

Classrooms are Cell Phone Free Zones
Life is full of distractions that keep us from performing our best.
Our expectation is that classrooms are cell phone free zones.
The classroom is a space for learning and engagement in preparation for a student’s next step in life. Join us in fostering this commitment to learning by:
Talking with your student about their cell phone use in school.
Be prepared to set limits and to collaborate with school staff in making learning a priority.
