Principal's Message
THANK YOU for all you've done to make our staff and teachers feel special this week! We are so grateful to have an amazing group of people who work together to support our students socially, emotionally & academically! We have a pretty great village!
Open House next Week!
Mark your calendars! Students and teachers are hard at work to show you all they've been learning this year! All classrooms will be open from 6-7pm. While you are welcome to visit all of our classrooms, please respect teachers' time to celebrate learning with their current class communities.
Murwood Track & Field Day is May 22nd during the school day.
This is a super fun tradition that our students love. AND, it takes a lot of parent/caretaker support to make it happen. Please check out the volunteer opportunities and sign up where you can.
Thank you the 119 parents who have completed the survey!
We are hoping that you have time to complete our Youth Truth Survey. We have extended the window to Friday, May 5th, in hopes to hear from more families. If you haven't already, please click on this link: ytsurvey.org/wcsdfamily23 to complete the survey. It will take about 15 minutes.
Your input means a lot to us. Thank you for taking the time to collaborate.
CAASPP Testing Nearly Complete! Hats off to our 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students as they complete this year's state testing! Parents will receive their child/ren's results in the late summer. Prior year's scores are accessible on the Aeries Parent Portal.
Warm Regards,
Monifa
Message from the Library
Congratulations to those 3rd-5th graders who completed this year's California Young Readers chapter book challenge. This was an optional reading challenge that began in October. Students read three novels, answered questions on each one, and were rewarded with a pizza party in the library. Great job, readers!
Please note that all books will be due to the library on Friday, May 12th for the school year. If you feel that your student has an overdue or misplaced book at home please start looking for it now to avoid fines or having to replace it.
Notes From The Office
As the weather has quickly warmed up, we have noticed that there are a lot more cold weather items in the lost and found. Please stop by school and check the lost and found.
We want to be sure your child's clothes get returned.
Enjoy the beautiful sunshine!
