We hope you are enjoying the summertime with your families! If you are a Kindergarten or new family seeing this message for the first time, WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY! We are the home of the Mountain Lions, and we believe that Montgomery RoaRS BETTER TOGETHER! (RoaRS stands for Respect, Responsibility, and Safety.)

During the school year, our Mountain Lion Minute is shared with families via School Messenger. This weekly newsletter as well as Home and School's weekly newsletter will keep your family informed about what's happening at Montgomery and around the school district. Summer Mountain Lion Minute updates are also shared with families once in July (this newsletter) and once in August.

The Montgomery Main Office is open on the following Wednesdays during the summer, 8am-11am: June 26 and July 7, 10, 17, 24, 31.

From August 12 - 22, the office will be open 8am - 3pm.

Beginning August 23rd, the office will resume regular schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:15am - 4:15pm

If you pre-ordered school supplies through Home and School's fundraiser, please note that the pickup for the school supplies will be on Wednesday, July 31st, 8am-11am.

Aug. 6,8,13, or 15: NPSD's K-Day on the Big Yellow Bus, @ NPHS (1340 S. Valley Forge Rd.), Practice riding the school bus on one of these dates/times:

• Tuesday, August 6th @ 8:30 and 10:00 am
• Thursday, August 8th @ 8:30 and 10:00 am
• Tuesday, August 13th @ 8:30 and 10:00 am
• Thursday, August 15th @ 8:30 and 10:00 am

Aug. 26: Home and School's Kindergarten Meet & Greet @ Montgomery Elementary pavilion/playground, 6pm-7pm

Aug. 28: Kindergarten Orientation (First Day of School for Grades 1-6)

• Kindergarten students and up to 2 adult guests will be invited to visit their classroom and meet their homebase teacher at an assigned time (invitations will be coming in the next few weeks)
  

Aug. 29: FIRST FULL DAY FOR KINDERGARTEN

NPSD School Nutrition Services is providing daily lunch at four North Penn locations with our SNS meal van. Daily lunch includes an entrée, fruits, vegetables and milk; it is FREE for any child 18 years old and younger. The technology fee covers the annual cost of your child's Chromebook Accidental Damage protection. For more information about accidental damage protection, please visit our Digital Learning website.

We are so excited to see our Mountain Lions in the Fall. In the meantime, here are some strategies for a successful summer break.

If your child is NOT planning to attend Montgomery Elementary School next school year, please complete the Student Withdrawal Information form and provide as much information as possible. Return the form to Mrs. Faia at faiaea@npenn.org. If your child attended Montgomery this year on a Transfer of Attendance, you must submit another Transfer of Attendance form to the Educational Services Center for the 2024-2025 school year.

The NP Educational Foundation is once again sponsoring the Build-a-Bag drive. Click on the link to find out how you can donate school supplies to NP families in need.
