Instructional Resources Public Review Opportunity
Staff, students, families, and Gwinnett community members are invited to review and provide input on proposed instructional resources for select grades and courses in Mathematics, ESOL, and World Language. Before adopting instructional resources for classroom use, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) holds an extensive review. Multiple committees involving various stakeholder groups reviewed resources submitted by publishers for alignment with the school system’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) standards. During the ongoing review process, selected resources are piloted in GCPS classrooms. Data from the reviews and pilots will be considered in making adoption recommendations to the Board of Education in early 2024.
This public review will be available until October 31, 2023. We appreciate your participation.

If you are experiencing an emergency, dial 9-1-1. The GCPS Hotline for anonymous reporting of potential violence is 770-822-6513. If you have a non-emergency criminal concern, please contact local law enforcement.
National School Custodian Appreciation Day
Monday, October 2nd, was National School Custodian Appreciation Day. We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Zejna Mujkic and her amazing team of custodians for all the hard work you do each and every day. Your hard work is essential and does not go unnoticed. Your attention to detail, commitment to cleanliness, and the pride you take in your work set what we identify as our Seckinger Standard. You create a PAW-sitive environment where our jaguars can thrive. Thank you for your tireless efforts, your friendly smiles, and your dedication. We value and appreciate you!

Addressing School Concerns
Gwinnett County Public Schools finds that the quickest and most effective way to resolve a concern regarding your child is by addressing it at the most direct level. In our school district, we care about each and every student and believe that open and honest communication between parents and teachers is a key to student success. Thank you for partnering with your child’s teacher and school to address any concerns.
- Teacher - First, talk to your child’s teacher or a counselor at school for assistance. Most concerns are resolved at the classroom level.
- Assistant Principal - If the concern is not resolved at the classroom level, please visit with your child’s assistant principal.
- Principal - If working with the AP does not adequately address the issue, please meet with the school principal.
- Cluster Superintendent - If the issue persists, please call 678-301-6000, and ask to speak to the cluster superintendent who is assigned to the school your child attends.
- Chief of Schools - If, after following steps one through four, your concern has not been resolved to your satisfaction, please contact the Chief of Schools for School Improvement and Operations.
