Book Nook
This winter weather has been quite the disruption the last two weeks! I was able to do some snowshoeing. I hope you were able to get out and enjoy some of the snow while it lasted as well. Because of the snow days, third grade students are working to finish their country research slides for the music program. Second grade and multiage students are finishing an assignment about using keywords to look up answers to questions.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Eagle Lake the week of February 5-9. Winter’s not over yet! It’s always good to have an extra book on hand in case you get stuck inside and need something to do. Look for more information about the book fair coming home soon. If you would like to volunteer to help, please contact the library. We would love to have you join us.
Happy Reading!

🚍 Transportation 🚍
Dismisal
The EPS Transportation department has a great responsibility for ensuring the safety of children to and from school. Twice a day, our transportation department accomplishes this task for approximately 3,000 students. Last minute changes to a student’s transportation schedule increases the chance that a child may not end up going to the proper/intended location. In addition, the changes add a great deal of responsibility to the transportation department, front office staff, teachers, and drivers. Every change requires individual communication between the transportation department, front office staff, classroom teacher, and child. The communication of the changes results in interruptions to classroom instruction.
When a change is necessary, please call transportation (269-663-2900) and send a written note to your child’s teacher or call the Eagle Lake school office by 2:00 p.m. Changes made after 2:00 p.m. to student dismissal will not be honored.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
