Learning Acceleration Update
Carla Lobos, Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services, and Mira Gobel, PSD Assistant Superintendent of Schools & Social Emotional Learning, updated the Board on PSD’s learning acceleration and learning recovery plan. The plan aims to support students in meeting social-emotional learning needs and providing highly effective learning recovery and accelerated learning for all students.
The plan includes:
- Providing professional development and training for staff.
- Offering free mental health teletherapy services to students during the school year and summer through a partnership with Hazel Health.
- Making tutoring services available to students through a partnership with TutorMe Education.
- Offering summer school with targeted learning objectives and goals.
Educating Students in a COVID-19 Environment
