Hough Highlights

Thank you to all who attended, donated, bid, raffled, danced, got engaged(!), and connected to make this year’s Parents Night Out a rousing success for our Hough community! We are grateful and excited to furnish Hough’s library with the help of your contributions.

We were notified earlier this week that Trinity College is permanently closing Camp Timber-lee effective March 5, 2023. This decision to close the camp was completely unexpected as we had a date already scheduled for our fifth-graders to visit the camp again this spring.

Our district administrators and elementary principals are presently investigating other venues offering a similar one-day outdoor education experience for our fifth-grade students this spring.

Although our primary focus at this time will be to schedule the learning opportunity for this school year, we will also be looking at venues that can meet our needs for a 2-day, 1-night trip for our students for each school year going forward.

We will continue to provide updates for our students and parents as we determine a culminating outdoor education experience for our fifth-graders this spring.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 22 (4 pm - 8 pm) and Thursday, March 23 (3 pm - 7 pm). Conferences will take place in person unless requested otherwise. Parents can sign up for a conference, via the Meet the Teacher tool, beginning Monday, March 6th at 8:00 am. Online sign-ups close on Sunday, March 12 at 11:30 pm.
