Autumn Praise
We praise you, Lord, for autumn:
for falling temperatures and morning chill,
trees turned gold and red, brown and orange,
falling leaves and blowing leaves,
the smell of burning leaves,
the joy of leaf-pile jumping.
We praise you, Lord, for autumn:
the interplay of outside temperatures
and inside warmth,
the promise of cider and pumpkin bread,
the blessing of blankets and sweaters.
We praise you, Lord, for autumn:
the beauty and hope in the change of season,
the promise that the coming of autumn
heralds another ending,
a new beginning,
and the wonder of another winter,
another spring,
another summer,
yet to come.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parent/Guardians,
As we have entered into the fall season, we will be seeing changes around us, either changing, leaves on trees changing color, and preparing for winter. It seems that 2020 has been a year of continued changes. Fortunately, we have our Faith to guide us through these changes. When we reflect on Jesus’ life, we see that He experienced many changes and challenges. Likewise, at the moment that is what we are all going through. My prayer is that we all can be supportive of each other as we work through these changes and know that we hope will be through many of these changes in the near future.
During the past week, we heard that San Mateo County has been moved down the tier level from purple to red. As a result of this move, after 14 consecutive days in this tier schools would be permitted to open under a number of conditions. As a result of this, we have started to plan for a reopening with a survey to parents, consultation with staff, and with the Department of Schools. Once we have all our data in hand, the School Leadership team will be able to determine the best time for our school to start a phase in reopening. The school also needs to meet the requirements of the San Mateo County Health Department. I am anticipating a possible reopening within the next six weeks.
School Photos: Saturday, October 10th
This year school photos will be conducted differently. Photos will take place on Saturday, October 10th between 8am and 3:00pm. There will be three families per five minutes. You will be asked to complete the sign-up form on SchoolSpeak. The form will be available on SchoolSpeak on Monday 28th at 10am. Students will wear their PE uniform this year. No bows, no headbands, and no hats.
Please drive up to the upper yard and drop your child/children at the doors near the preschool and then drive to the doors at the cafeteria end to collect your child/children. Signs will be posted as well for drop off and pick up. One adult may accompany their child in the building ONLY if the child does not have an older sibling (Students Preschool through 2nd grade only). Thank you for your understanding as we are trying to minimize the number of people entering our school building.
Guatemala Appeal -
Every year we have our annual Guatemala Appeal for the children in poverty in Guatemala. This year we thought the best way to do this would be for families to bring supplies on the day of the photos and they can be dropped in the cafeteria. For our new families, we partner up with catholic Charities in Guatemala to supply school supplies, medical supplies, shoes, clean clothes, backpacks, etc. for the children in the villages of Guatemala. Please place the supplies in a plastic bag. All clothing items to be donated must be washed prior to dropping them off at school (if not new).
We also have the opportunity for families to show their support with a donation of money to cover the shipping costs of the 30x30x30 boxes where the supplies are loaded into. Each box costs $220. You can contribute by clicking the link here.
Thanks for your generosity with this appeal.
Zoom Parent/Teacher Conferences
The annual Parent/Teacher conferences will be held from Wednesday, October 14th through Friday, October 16th. Sign-ups have been released in SchoolSpeak and please sign up for a conference with your child/children’s teacher

Cafeteria Payments
Dear All Souls Families,
You can now pay and add credit to your child/children's cafeteria account through SchoolSpeak. Your payment will be processed through PayPal with a 3% convenience fee for all transactions.
Sign-in to your SchoolSpeak account and select "Lunch Order" in the quick links menu on the left. The "Pay" tab will direct you to your payment options. You may pay the cafeteria balance through your existing PayPal account or as a guest using your credit or debit card. You may also add credit to your child/children's cafeteria account. If you wish, you may still make cash or check payments to the school office.
Please note, for the families that have a credit card on file I will no longer be charging your credit card for lunch payments. You are responsible for paying and adding credit to your cafeteria account.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Regards,
Ms. Escobar

We thank you for your patience and understanding during these times.
Below we listed a small FAQ for your families, to help ease any confusion about coming into our store or placing an order!
Are you open? Yes! We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10:00 to 5:00, Thursday (7/9 only!) from 10:00 to 7:00, and Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00. We are closed Sundays and Mondays, any phone messages or emails over the weekend will not be received until that following Tuesday during store hours.
Do you take appointments? No! Just come on in at your earliest convenience.
What are your procedures in-store? Anyone over the age of 12 is required to wear a mask the entire time you are in the store. We can only take 2-3 families in store at a time, if we are at capacity we ask you to wait outside where we have sidewalk markers to practice social distancing. We also request that only 2 people enter our store per family (for example, one student and one adult, or two adults). For families with multiple students, exceptions will be made. We provide hand sanitizer and have been wiping down high-touch areas, as well as dressing rooms, between each customer.
Can my student try items on? If you are comfortable with it, yes! Any tried on items are being quarantined in our back warehouse before being put back onto the sale floor. If you don't feel comfortable having your student try items on, we recommend bringing a set of clothing that currently fits, and we can match it up as close as possible.
Can I return/exchange items? We are handling returns and exchanges on a case-by-case basis. We accept returns 15 days from the original purchase, and exchanges 30 days from the original purchase. We recommend a phone call before you come in to return or exchange, and you must have the following with you:
- Credit/Debit card the purchase was originally made with
- Receipt (including the print-out from the credit card machine)
- All tags/original packaging on your items
Can I place a phone/email order? YES! All orders can be either picked up at our ramp to the left side of the building, or shipped via UPS (additional fees apply). All phone/email orders must be prepaid before pick-up, we will call you to process payment over the phone.
Any other questions or concerns can be called in at (650)-757-5722 or emailed back here at simply7801@gmail.com. We are happy to help with any specific questions or concerns you may have! Thanks so much for shopping with us, and we look forward to seeing you this summer!
