Portrait of a Graduate PBIS Focus
North has 5 color families that meet once a month to focus on our character words. These are character traits deemed important for an Ozark graduate and are embedded within our curriculum to ensure our graduates are prepared for success. Our first month will focus on being responsible and reliable.
Resources
Free & Reduced Meal Application
Have you filled out your Free & Reduced Meal Application yet? Well, now you can do it ONLINE! Put in Ozark's zip code - 65721. From there, simply follow the prompts! Not only could you qualify for free or reduced meals, but the application allows for other benefits, such as free snack milk.
We know you want to celebrate your child’s birthday, and we want to celebrate with you! However, this year any food provided for students outside of the meal programs must also meet federal nutrition guidelines. That means any food brought into the classroom for celebrations, parties, and snack time must meet the guidelines. Click the link above for a list of nutritional snacks that can be used for classroom celebrations. Thank you for your understanding.
Complete the background check linked above. Contact your child's classroom teacher to see what they need help with, join PTA to volunteer for events throughout the year, or volunteer for a lunch shift by clicking here!
Click the link above for a video of Drop-Off and Pick-Up procedures.
- Please remember to use caution when entering the car line. This includes your speed and being on your phone.
- Please do not park and approach the children or doors to pick up your child, all kids need to be picked up in the car line. If you need to pick them up early you may come into the office and check them out prior to car line beginning.
- Please follow the line until you reach your child at the designated colored square.
- Please do not exit your car when you get to the colored square. A staff member will help your child into the car, including walking to the driver's side if necessary.
- If your child still requires a 5 point harness or needs help buckling, please park in the parking lot directly to the side of the car line before you help buckle them up. This is very important to keep our line moving, especially in the hot weather.
Our number one goal is student safety through this process. Thank you for helping us!
Afternoon Dismissal:
We want to remind you of the proper procedure for changing your child's afternoon dismissal plans. Remember that the student handbook states to send a written note. By written note we do not mean an email or seesaw message. We cannot promise that they will be 100% reliable as teachers do not have time throughout the day to constantly check email or seesaw. If your child does not have a consistent afternoon dismissal procedure or a plan is changing, please send a handwritten note each occurrence to your teacher. Ask your student to hand the note to his/her teacher. If your plans change, contact the school office. Please verbally instruct your child on their after school plan each morning. Thank you for helping us to ensure that your child arrives at their afternoon destination safely.
