RUSD Data Confirmation:
Please log in to the AERIES Parent Portal and complete the data confirmation process. If you need assistance, here is a Data Confirmation Step-By-Step Tool and an FAQ Document. The data confirmation process is required in order to begin school. Please contact our main office if you have any questions or need assistance.
Class Placement:
Check the AERIES Parent Portal after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5th for your child's teacher assignment. You will not be able to see your teacher if you have not completed the data confirmation.
Important Dates:
- August 5th: Class rosters will be posted after 5:00 p.m. in the AERIES Parent Portal.
- August 9th: Meet the Teacher (Grades TK, 2-6) from 11:00 to 11:30. K and 1st grade teachers will contact their students for individualized meet and greets.
- August 10th: The First Day of School (Students may enter their classrooms starting at 7:40. School starts at 7:50.)
- August 15th: First Staff Articulation Monday/Early Dismissal
- August 18th: Back to School Night - More Information to Come

Here is the Ruhkala Elementary Bell Schedule for the 2022/2023 school year.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Arrival:
- Students may arrive at school between 7:40 and 7:50. Classrooms will not open until 7:40. Students must go straight to their classrooms between those times.
- For student safety only staff and students will be allowed on campus during arrival and dismissal. The office will remain closed at this time.
- TK and Kindergarten families will receive additional information on arrival and dismissal procedures from their child's teacher.
- First through sixth grade students can be dropped off at either the front or back parking lot or they can walk onto campus at a supervised cross walk.
- For the convenience of everyone, vehicles should PULL UP as far as possible before dropping off.
Dismissal:
- Student dismissal times vary depending on day and grade level.
- TK and Kindergarten families will receive information on dismissal times and procedures directly from their child's teacher.
- For student safety only staff and students will be allowed on campus during arrival and dismissal. The office will remain closed at this time.
- First through Sixth grade students will dismiss at 1:20 (Mondays) and 2:20 (Tuesday through Friday).
- Walkers and bike riders will leave campus at one of the Walking Zones. One is located at the bus loop and other is near the kindergarten playground.
- First through third grade students will be dismissed to vehicles at the front parking lot. Please remain in your vehicle and pull as far forward as possible. Please follow the directions of the staff that are on duty.
- Fourth through sixth grade students will be dismissed to vehicles at the back parking lot. Please remain in your vehicle and pull as far forward as possible.
- If your children are in multiple grade levels please connect with your child's teacher to make plans for either a back lot or front lot dismissal.
