Week of March 20th
PRIDE Under Construction - Week #28 🚧
Greetings, STEAM Family!
We are excited to enter into the final two (2) weeks before the much needed and highly anticipated Spring Break for Dublin City Schools. As we all look forward to this break for our students and staff, we continue to remain steadfast and focused on providing high quality instruction and engaging learning experiences for all of our students each day. Noteworthy items of this week include our Academic Parent-Teacher Team (APTT)/ “Status Check” Meeting on this Wednesday, March 22nd beginning at 5:00 pm. During this session, parents will receive their child’s 3rd Nine Weeks Report Card, as well as conduct a brief “status check” with your child’s teacher concerning his/her academic standing for the 2023-2024 school term. Students who have a parent/guardian to attend will earn 20 PBIS Rewards Points, as well as a Dress Down Pass to redeem on this Friday, March 24th.
Also, all DCS families are invited to attend the “Be Well” Behavioral Health and Wellness Expo from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the lobby of the Dublin High School Auditorium. The purpose of this event is to bring our staff, students, and families together while promoting mental health and providing wellness resources for our students, community, and surrounding areas.
As always, feel free to contact us anytime with questions or concerns, and thank you for your continued support of "THE" Susie Dasher Elementary School!
In the meantime, stay tuned for another week full of P.R.I.D.E.!

Field Day Info 2023
We have completed t-shirt sales and preparations for our Field Day Celebration, which will take place on Friday, March 31st at the Shamrock Bowl! As a reminder, all t-shirt sales are final.
Please see the attachment below for general information concerning Field Day. Participating students will receive final details closer to the date of the event to which we are looking forward!
Parents and stakeholders are certainly invited to attend.
This Week at SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
- The PRIDE Afterschool Remediation/Enrichment Program takes place on Mondays - Wednesdays from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Snacks and transportation will be provided. For more information regarding the after school program waiting list, please contact the school at (478) 353-8250.
