Testing Day is April 8th
We are excited to share that the Kansas State Department of Education is again paying for an ACT for all juniors. This year’s exam is on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025. If you have already registered your student for the April 5th national exam through ACT, you may want to consider contacting ACT to reschedule for a later date.
This is an opt-out testing event, meaning that unless you tell us otherwise, we will plan on testing your student. All students test at their home school, and Blue Valley Academy students test at BVA.
We also understand that the ACT might not be applicable to students as many schools are moving to a test-optional format. Other programs, such as JCCC and trade schools, do not require an ACT score for admission.
While it is your decision whether to have your student take the ACT, below is a brief overview to help you and your student determine whether the ACT is the correct standardized assessment for your student's future plans.
Furthermore, we strongly encourage you to contact the college, university, or trade school your student is considering attending after high school to receive the most current information. The Blue Valley West counselors are also a great resource to help you navigate these decisions. Click here to learn why taking the ACT can help you in college.
