Marble Falls Middle School May 17
Message from the Principal
Our Awards Recognition Ceremony will be taking place on Tuesday May 21st at the High School. Everyone is welcome to attend and an email will go out to those that are receiving any awards given on the night of the 21st.
It is that time of year and would you believe sometimes kids try and bring items to school that truly do not belong at school. Items that have no academic value at school may be confiscated and not returned. This may include but not limited to toys, food items (to share), games/gaming systems, noise makers. Depending on the type of item brought to school it might result in some severe consequences. We want a safe environment for the last few days of school. Let's finish strong!
Consequences given at the end of the year may have repercussions to the start of next school year. Consequences may be more aggressive in nature to close out the year. PLEASE help us and have conversations with your student about not engaging in any behaviors that are not consistent with campus expectations (common space expectations listed below).
Our Last day of school bell schedule is below. We will have a send off/cookout for our 8th grade students. A huge thank you to all of those parents that have donated time or materials to make this happen for our 8th grade students!
Please be courteous to our neighbors at HEB and McDonald's. Please have the conversation with your student about not meeting at local businesses to gather and wait. It is unsafe for our students to cross traffic and meet at the parking lot over there. Convenience is not always the best option. Our parent pick up line is moving very quickly these days. Please consider this for the safety of all students. Please know we want all of our students to be safe before, during, and after school.
Have a wonderful weekend Mustangs!
Respectfully,
Rudy Gonzalez
Principal

Identification Cards
This is truly about the safety of our campus. Please encourage your student scholar to have a manageable system or habit for having their ID every day. Please know that we treat not having an ID visible with dress code and offenses are given consequences weekly.
New IDs are $3 and we offer a time stamped sticker for those that forget. Multiple stickers in a week may result in a campus consequence and discipline referral

Moms in the Morning
Our campus is looking for Moms that are able and willing to dedicate some time to our campus and students. Moms in the Morning will be an opportunity to help us with our morning routines in the cafeteria. We have many students that get breakfast in the morning. We need some moms to help us monitor our students, encourage everyone to eat breakfast, and encourage students to be responsible for their area.

Attendance Matters
Academic Success: Regular attendance ensures that students have the opportunity to participate in classroom activities, discussions, and lessons. Missing school can lead to gaps in understanding, making it difficult to keep up with the curriculum and perform well academically.
Social Interaction: School is not only about academics but also a place for social development. Consistent attendance allows students to build relationships with peers and develop important social skills. Missing school can lead to feelings of isolation and hinder social growth.
Accountability and Responsibility: Attending school regularly teaches students the importance of responsibility and accountability. It instills the habit of showing up on time, meeting deadlines, and fulfilling obligations, skills that are valuable throughout life.
Teacher-Student Relationship: Regular attendance fosters a stronger teacher-student relationship. Teachers can provide individualized support and guidance when they know their students well, which can be especially important for struggling students.
Legal Requirements: The state of Texas requires 90% or greater for attendance. Parents or guardians may face legal consequences if their child consistently misses school without a valid reason.
Future Opportunities: Good attendance habits are often associated with better future opportunities. Employers and colleges may look at attendance records as an indicator of an individual's commitment and reliability.
In conclusion, attending school regularly is crucial for a student's academic success, social development, and overall preparation for future responsibilities. It sets the foundation for a successful and fulfilling educational journey.
