Mission Trail Elementary
MTE Sunday Update for September 29, 2024
Dear Mission Trail Families,
I hope your weekend is wonderful! I am actually in Minnesota for my big brother's wedding this weekend! It has been wedding season for me!
Our teacher planning day on Friday was amazing! The teachers were able to plan and get materials ready. They collaborated about students, instruction, and we met as a building team. We spent time reviewing supplemental materials selection and examining standards. A truly productive day!
Next weekend is the MTE PTO CARNIVAL! Please DO sign up to volunteer. It sends a wonderful message to your children when you are involved in supporting their school. Children take such great pride in their family being here and helping!
Our school is doing a Hygiene drive for those in need in our BV community. Please see below for details.
As always, please reach out if you have any questions, comments or concerns!
"It is a great day to be a BULLDOG!"
Sincerely,
Debbie Bond
Collection Bins will be located in the front hallway and
we will also be collecting at the carnival!
Fall Harvest Costume Guidelines for the MTE Fall Harvest Parade
At Mission Trail, we have a tradition of a fall harvest parade on the day of the Fall Harvest Parties!
Our plan is for the children to wear the costumes TO SCHOOL and parade in the morning.
We try to have the parade outside on the fitness track and families are welcome to come and observe the parade. More information will come about the parade, but since the stores are full of costumes, and the children are excited to pick their costume, I decided to share this now.
It may seem early, but if you are already thinking about your child's Halloween/Fall Harvest Parade Costume, please keep the following in mind-
- We do have young children at Mission Trail. Please be mindful they may be fearful of excessively scary costumes.
- Costumes must not include any face masks. A student's face must be completely visible. Any adults who wear a costume must also have visible faces.
- No weapons of any kind are permitted. This includes toy guns, knives, light sabers, etc.
- Please choose a costume that the children may comfortably sit in and they can be independent at school wearing. If they need to change after the parade, they need to be able to change independently.
- If they wear a "blow up" costume, they may only wear it for the parade. Blow up costumes make continous noise and are very distracting in the classroom.
If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher or give me a call.
