Principal's Messageπ’
Hello Bronco Community,
Another great week of learning at Bobier! Can you believe we have been in school for a month already? It is awesome to walk through the classrooms and see the students engaged and learning!
We are continuing to celebrate our students in our first round of monthly grade level ACES Award ceremonies. Students from each class are recognized monthly throughout the year in the following categories:
A - Awesome Academic Achievement
C- Citizenship
E - Effort
S - Scholar Award recognizing specific elements of the VUSD Learner Portrait:
This month we are recognizing students who are kind and confident.
Way to go Broncos! Stay tuned for more opportunities to celebrate our students in the months to come!
Please remember to be kind and courteous to our neighbors!
Please make sure not to block our neighborβs driveways or fire access roads. Please do not park and leave your car or block their entrance/exit. Thank you!
School Site Council
We will be holding our first meeting of our Bobier School Site Council / Community School Advisory Council on October 3rd. Thank you to the parents, staff, and community members who have volunteered for this important advisory committee! π

Attendance
As we begin the school year, we want to focus on attendance as it is so important as it impacts the learning process. Please make sure that your students are at school everyday and on time. As September is Attendance awareness month, we will be having an Attendance Super Hero dress up day. See the flier below for more. Our attendance goal is 96% for this school year.
Did you know that attendance:
Missing 10% of school (1 or 2 days every few weeks) can make it harder to:
β’ Gain early reading and math skills. β’ Build relationships. β’ Develop good attendance habits.
Sage Garden
Hi! I'm Lindsay Brightman, the Sage Garden Projects Gardening & Cooking Educator. As a former Bronco, I am thrilled to be back and share my 20 years of experience in horticulture with students. I meet with students every other week for a garden or cooking lesson. Sage Garden Projects principles surround the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to plant a seed, watch it grow, taste it fresh, prepare it as part of a delicious meal and compost the scraps to continue the cycle of life. Watch us learning by growing!!!
Follow our garden and cooking adventures on Instagram! β
English Learners
All English Learner parents are encouraged to attend the following informational meeting. Dr. Olmstead will be presenting on how our English learners are supported through all the departments in the district.
Vista Community Clinic-A+ Teeth Program
Vista Community Clinic's A+ Teeth Cavity Protection Program is coming to your child's school.
A+ Teeth, a school-based cavity prevention program offered by Vista Community Clinic (VCC). VCC offers visual dental assessment, fluoride varnish application, sealant(s) and referrals for treatment if needed. This dental evaluation does not replace a regular dental check-up, but can save families time with these services offered at the school.
Consent forms were sent home with all students. Please sign and return to your child's teacher or the office if you would like your child to participate. The VCC A+ van will be on campus the week of October 7.
Bronco Prep Pals
We had a great start to our volunteer group. Together, we were able to unpack our community room and organize the cabinets. Parents also helped the Kinder Team with a task. Check our volunteer job board for teacher requests every week. Flyer and job board link will be posted to our website under ->Parent Engagement->.Visiting & Volunteering for future reference.
