The weather is starting to change as we get closer to November. I encourage you to send your kids to school with jackets because these fall mornings can be brisk. Hats and gloves will be a good idea too as temperatures continue to drop. We are experiencing more students and staff getting colds, strep throat, and even the flu bug. Please don't hesitate to keep your kids home if they are feeling under the weather and please don't send them to school if they have a temperature. It is important that we don't spread this to others in the school if we can prevent it.

Important Information About Our Upcoming School Levy
Dear Parents, Staff, and Community Members,
I want to take a moment to share more about how the upcoming levy will directly support our schools and students. This levy will help us continue funding important programs and keeping great teachers in our classrooms.
What the Levy Will Fund
If the levy passes, it will allow us to keep offering programs that are essential for our students’ success, including:
Arts, Music, & Career Technical Education (CTE) Programs: Many of our students love art, music, and career technical programs. These programs help students explore their creativity, build confidence, express themselves, and develop lifelong skills that will serve them well in the future. Without the levy, we may not have the resources to keep these activities going.
Athletics: Sports are an important part of our school. They help students learn teamwork, discipline, and how to stay healthy. The levy will ensure that students can continue to fully participate in their favorite sports and after-school activities while maintaining a high level of competition and Rambler spirit.
Recruiting and Retention of High quality staff: This levy allows us to offer competitive wages and benefits to be able to recruit and retain quality staff for our kids. Quality, caring people are key to helping all students succeed.
Join Us in Supporting Our Schools
This levy will make a huge difference in helping us continue to provide these important opportunities for our students. If you’d like to learn more or ask any questions, please join us at our community forums listed on the levy section of the website listed below.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our District and kids!
Best regards,
Joni Stevenson

Superintendent Resignation
It is with a mix of deep gratitude and heavy heart that I submit my resignation as Superintendent of the Cascade School District, effective either upon the hiring of a suitable replacement or at the conclusion of this school year, whichever comes first.
Serving as the Superintendent in this district has been one of the greatest privileges and challenges of my life that has tremendously impacted me in ways that will continue to add value to my life. This community, its students, families, and staff have ushered me through major life milestones, becoming part of my extended family. I take great pride in the accomplishments we’ve achieved together and in the resilience we’ve shown in overcoming challenges, always driven by our shared commitment to the success of our students. From our determined efforts to lift the district out of the bottom 5% in Idaho to the small, everyday victories happening in classrooms, the spirit of this district is truly exceptional. I am proud of how far we’ve come and excited for the promising path ahead for Cascade’s youth.
However, after careful reflection, I have come to realize that it is time for me to step aside and allow new leadership to guide this district forward. This decision has come after agonizing reflection and I believe it is in the best interest of both my family and the future of our schools. I am confident that with your continued support and dedication, the district will remain on a path of growth, opportunity, and success for all students, my own included.
Please know that I will remain fully committed during this transition. I am ready to assist in any way I can to ensure a smooth process and to support the board and the new Superintendent, once selected.
Thank you for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading this incredible district. It has been an honor to serve, and I will always cherish the relationships, memories, and growth I have made here. Although I am stepping down from this role, I will remain an active member of this community and a committed partner in supporting the Cascade Ramblers.
Sincerely,
Joni Stevenson
