College Savings Program Contest
Hello Rambler Families,
IdahoSports.com is partnering with IDEAL (Idaho’s College Savings Program) for a $529 giveaway to one lucky student from a class 2A or 1A school in Idaho. Students 18 and older can enter the contest, or parents can enter students into the contest if their student is under 18.
The winner will be randomly selected later this month and will be given $529 to be used towards an Idaho Education Savings Account. It can be used for college, trade school, apprenticeships, graduate programs, and more.
This is a great opportunity for our students. The deadline to enter is October 25th. More information can be found here:

Important Information About Our Upcoming School Levy
Dear Parents, Staff, and Community Members,
It has been a fantastic start to another Rambler school year and I’m writing to let you know about another important event coming up that will impact our entire school district. On November 5, 2024, our community will have the chance to vote on a 2-year supplemental levy that will help support our schools and students.
Why This Levy Is Important
Like many other districts in Idaho, we need supplemental levies to help cover the gaps in state funding. This levy will help us continue to offer important programs and services, including:
Keeping Our Teachers: Making sure we can keep great teachers and staff in our schools.
Supporting Learning Programs: Helping us provide programs that support students in reading, math, and other important subjects like music, art, and career technical programs.
Extracurricular Activities: Making sure students can still participate in activities like sports, music, and clubs that help them grow and succeed.
Without this levy, we may have to cut or reduce some of these programs, which could make it harder for our students to get the full education they deserve. The levy will help us continue to provide the things that make our schools special.
Levy Details
The levy will be in place for two years, and the cost to taxpayers is estimated to be around $40.27 per year per $100,000 of taxable assessed value. We are committed to being open and clear about how this money will be used, and we’ll keep you updated on the positive impact it will have on our schools.
If you’d like to learn more, you can visit our website cascadeschools.org/levy where we have more details and answers to common questions. We’re also hosting several community forums to answer any questions you might have, please check our website for details. I encourage you to join us at a forum or please just stop by and chat!
Thank you for supporting our schools and helping us provide a great education for our students. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.
Best regards,
Joni Stevenson

Long Term Strategic Planning (LTSP) Committee Update:
The Board appointed committee has been working diligently on analyzing and compiling the data from the survey this summer. They have developed a short list of values statements that they will be delivering to the Board of Trustees at the October meeting.
We encourage you to take a look at the LTSP Meeting agendas in Board Docs to catch a glimpse of the direction that our community is looking for for the new Long Term Strategic Plan.
The committee has come up with a set of values/cultural statements that the Board of Trustees will be working on fine tuning at a work session prior to the regular board meeting on 10/16, the work session will start at 5:00pm.
