Let's Get Celebrating!
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the rich cultures, diverse histories, and invaluable contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities to our country. From September 15th to October 15th, we honor the achievements, traditions, and vibrant cultures of Americans with roots in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
š„ The 2024 theme is: Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together, encapsulating the āspirit of innovation, resilience, and unity that define the Hispanic experience.ā
Why We Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th, marking the independence anniversaries of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile also celebrate their independence days on September 16th and 18th, respectively. This month is a great opportunity to recognize the diverse histories and cultures that enrich our community. (NCHEPM)
