Lee Family Bulletin - January 6
Welcome Back to School!
Thanks families and volunteers for supporting the Scholastic Book Fair!
Attendance calls will be made earlier starting this month
Starting this month, when a student is marked absent, parents and guardians will begin to receive phone calls starting at 9:30 a.m. instead of 10:30 a.m. as it's been the case in the past. Always let the office know when you're child is out for a known reason and give us a call if you believe they were marked absent in error.
Is your child bringing cough medication to school? Please know what's allowed and what's not
Please know that students aren't able to carry cough syrup and medicated cough drops on their own at school, per MESD policy. If the cough drops say 'drug facts' on the back they are considered a medication. Some cough drops will say 'nutrition facts' or 'supplement facts'- these are not considered medication and students can carry them. Please call our Student Health Assistant, Nurse Jen if you have any questions.
Paperless Report Cards Are Coming Soon! Are you on ParentVue yet?
As we shared in October, the district's move to paperless Report Cards as a way to reduce waste as well as cost in alignment with PPS’s Climate Justice policy. At Lee, we printed and sent home Fall report cards in order to give our community a chance to transition to ParentVue platform before the Winter report cards come out. Winter Term report cards will be completed by teachers at the end of January and they will only be accessible through ParentVue. Please make sure you are ready to access them through that system. Please find details about that process here: https://www.pps.net/parentvue.
Our school office can help you get a code for you to register.
