A Note From Ms. C
Important reminder: There is no after school Ripton bus Monday, 11/13/23.
Dear Ripton Elementary School Community,
As we immerse ourselves in the brisk beauty of November, it is with gratitude and joy that we reflect on the incredible spirit of our community and the boundless creativity of our teachers. This month, we are thrilled to share some highlights of the exciting learning adventures taking place at RES.
Our school is more than just a building; it is a thriving community of learners, teachers, and families; this collaboration has created an environment where education extends beyond the classroom walls. Two examples of this learning happened in K/1 and 4/5 this past week, and Mrs. H has her own field trip adventure in he works for 2/3!
Our youngest learners donned their engineering hats for a memorable day at the ECHO Center where they explored and engaged with interactive exhibits, sparking their curiosity about the world around them. A huge thank you to Mrs. Giroux for making this learning opportunity possible and thanks to Jeannie Cash, Courtney Greeno, and Joanna Doria, for driving and helping out the K/1 class during the trip!
The fourth and fifth graders have been on an avian adventure, delving into the fascinating world of birds. Ms. O's dear friend, Professor Kane, shared her extensive knowledge with her students from UVM, captivating the students with tales of flight, migration, and the diverse species that grace our skies, in addition to making connections between the ways that birds engage in care and use of voice, in ways that that have parallels to our own lives.
Warm regards,
Meg
Winter is Here: Time to Gear Up!
As we feel the crispness in the air and see the first signs of frost, we want to remind everyone to prepare for the winter weather. Please ensure your children come to school with appropriate winter gear, including jackets, hats, gloves, and any other items that will keep them warm and comfortable during outdoor activities.
Please let Ms. C know if we can help your family with getting winter gear this season!
Gratitude!
We extend our deepest gratitude to the entire Ripton Elementary School community for your ongoing support and dedication to the education of our students. Together, we are creating an environment where learning is a shared adventure!
