Happy Holidays!
This year has been flying by, hasn’t it? As we enter our much-deserved winter break, I have had the pleasure of attending some of our winter concerts, ceremonies, sports games, and other holiday activities that have showcased the amazing talents of our students. It is amazing watching our community come together this time of year and seeing how festive it gets with the energy throughout the hallways at our buildings.
In this season of giving, it has been great to see members of our school community give back. That includes our Hudson Memorial C.O.L.T.S. students, who visited Library Street School on Wednesday to read to our kindergarten students and join them outside for some playground games. We also received an overwhelming amount of donations to our food and toy drives over the past month. Those contributions are very meaningful, and they will put smiles on a lot of faces throughout our community.
I hope everyone is able to enjoy some rest, relaxation, and time with their families and friends over the next two weeks before we turn the calendar to 2025. From the Hudson School District, have a great break and we will see you back here on January 2nd!

Wellness Minute Blog Update
Here are some tips on ensuring your children stay happy and healthy during the holiday season:
Stay Hydrated: Encourage kids to drink plenty of water, even if they're enjoying festive drinks like hot cocoa. Staying hydrated helps maintain energy levels and overall health.
Balanced Nutrition: While holiday treats are fun, try to balance them with nutritious foods. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in meals.
Hand Hygiene: Remind children to wash their hands frequently, especially before eating and after playing outside. This simple habit can prevent the spread of germs.
Manage Stress: The holidays can be overwhelming. Focus on meaningful traditions and spend quality time with family rather than striving for perfection.
Get Enough Sleep: Maintaining a regular sleep schedule is crucial, even during the holidays. Adequate rest helps children stay healthy and happy.
Stay Active: Encourage physical activity, whether it's playing outside, going for a family walk, or participating in indoor exercises. Staying active supports both physical and mental health.
Dress Warmly: Ensure kids are dressed in layers to stay warm and dry when playing outside. Proper clothing can prevent cold-related illnesses.
These tips can help families enjoy a healthy and happy holiday season!
