Hallsville Families & Community Members,
A facilities workgroup representing school community stakeholders convened this fall to review the district's approved Facilities Master Plan, review the status of district facilities, and provide feedback on future district initiatives.
To address many of the facilities priorities identified by the group, the Board of Education is considering a no tax-rate increase bond for the April 2025 ballot. The Board of Education would like to invite families, staff, and community members to attend the first of two community forums to learn more about this possible ballot initiative on Wednesday, November 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the secondary cafeteria. The purpose of the first community forum is to engage Hallsville stakeholders regarding district bonding capacity, possibilities for capital improvement projects, and general information for a prospective no tax-rate increase bond.
A date for the second community forum will be set at a later time. Thank you for your support of our schools and our students, and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, November 6.
Sincerely,
Tyler Walker
Superintendent of Schools
