After School Destination Changes
Did you know that you can now submit an online form to change or update your child’s after school destination daily? Once you submit the form you will receive a confirmation email. Please fill out one form per child. All after school destination changes need to be made by 1:15pm.

Cereal Dominos
We are collecting unopened boxes of cereal. All donated boxes of cereal will then create a large cereal box domino display. On December 15th, the cereal boxes will fall like dominos. After the cereal dominos fall, the cereal will be donated to Eatonville Family Agency.

What If My Child Tests Positive For Covid
Any student who tests positive for Covid-19, must isolate at home for a minimum of 5 days after symptom start date or positive test (whichever comes first).
Students may return to school after the 5 day isolation period if:
- Students are strongly encouraged to continue wearing a well-fitted mask around others at home and in public for five additional days (day 6 through day 10) after their initial 5 day isolation period.
- If the fever or other symptoms persist after the initial five day isolation, the student may not return to school until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and all other symptoms have improved

Students with respiratory or gastrointestinal symptoms, such as a cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting, or diarrhea, should not attend school and should test for Covid-19 immediately.

Battle of the Books
Hello Families!
The Battle of the Books competition is open to students in grades fourth through fifth, and we encourage all interested students to participate. It promises to be an enriching experience where they can discover new authors, immerse themselves in thrilling stories, and engage in vibrant discussions with their peers.
To facilitate these book discussions, we will be holding monthly meetings at the school. During these gatherings, students will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, insights, and favorite moments from the books they have read. We believe that these conversations will not only foster a love for reading but also promote critical thinking and teamwork among the participants. More specifics about these meetings will be shared in the future by your school's teacher volunteers.
We are excited to announce that the Battle of the Books competition will take place in the spring. More detailed information, including specific dates and guidelines, will be shared with you in the coming months. So, please keep an eye out for future updates to ensure that your child doesn't miss out on this wonderful opportunity.

Child Find Notice
Does your child have a medical disorder or birth defect that interferes with their development?
Does the child seem to have hearing or vision issues?
Does your child have difficulty communicating with people outside the family?
Does your child have difficulty keeping up with other children their age?
Does your child have concerning behaviors?
Any child, birth to five, whose family or caregivers would like more information about their child's development can contact the Eatonville School District to receive a FREE Child Find Screening.
What happens during a Child Find Screening?
The purpose a Child Find Screening is to identify issues that may affect your child's learning, growth and development and to help parents identify their child's strengths and weaknesses.
During the screening, your child may stack small blocks, cut with scissors, draw, count, name colors, jump and just have fun!
After the screening, someone will talk with you about the results and you may be given suggestions, a referral for more testing or scheduled to have the skills rechecked at a later time. You will have the chance to ask any questions about your child's development. The whole process will take one hour.

If your family is living in a temporary situation, you may contact the district where you are currently staying for a screening.
