Thanksgiving Edition
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving! In a recent Rhode Island Catholic column, Bishop Tobin writes that Thanksgiving is a time to "be aware of our blessings, take care of our gifts, [and ultimately] a time to share our gifts." I pray that this upcoming break provides you an opportunity to do just this with family, friends, and loved ones.
As we begin the break, a brief reminder regarding our current Travel Policy. Firstly, thank you for taking these policies into consideration as a part of your holiday preparations. Your attentiveness to our safety protocols has kept our students healthy and in school throughout this academic year, and we are grateful for all of your efforts in keeping our community safe. Our current travel policy remains as follows:
"To lower the chances of spreading COVID-19 and help mitigate risk within the school community, Father Doyle is requiring students who are not vaccinated who have traveled from a location for vacation or similar extended stay within the United States to submit a negative PCR test taken upon their arrival back in Rhode Island prior to returning to school. Unvaccinated students choosing not to get tested will be required to quarantine for seven days while monitoring for symptoms before returning to school."
Additional information regarding our travel policy can be found in our Return to School Plan (pg. 16-17). The plan can also be found on the homepage of our school website.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact the school with additional questions or concerns.
Lastly, please take a moment to review the announcements below including information regarding our new Student Safety Patrol, FJVD Christmas Concert, NEASC Community Night, and more!
May your break be filled with abundant blessings!

Aluminum Can Tab Collection
What: Aluminum can tabs are being collected
Why: To support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence
How can you help? Save can tabs and send them in to Mr. Godin’s room.
Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
