Though we're not yet to 2024, the SMCPS Board of Education is already planning for the 24-25 School Year. This includes mapping out budget needs. You can stay abreast developments by watching the Board of Education meetings in the upcoming months. Board of Education meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month beginning at 9 a.m. and the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m, or as scheduled. 23-24 National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest
Every year, thousands of school districts in over 40 states participate in local and state-level competitions to select artwork that depicts school bus safety-related themes and encourages and promotes school bus safety. The winning posters are used to promote safer school transportation for everyone. State winners advance to the national poster contest. Submissions for the contest must be received by the MSDE Office of Pupil Transportation/Emergency Management by March 15, 2024. Many thanks to all who came out for the PTA Holiday Night. It was joyous to see children so excited about gift-giving that they shared presents immediately after buying them! The food trucks were a hit. The movie-going experience included popcorn, hot cocoa and plenty of socializing.
We're already looking forward to the next event....a Winter Family Dance! Stay tuned.
