Board of Education News & Notes

The Flemington-Raritan Regional Board of Education held a regular meeting virtually on February 22, 2021. Below is a recap of the meeting:

• All agenda motions were approved with two exceptions. Item 1 under Policy and the information item under Miscellaneous were both tabled until a future board meeting: Agenda and Addendum.

• The Board, together with the Flemington-Raritan Education Association, honored the 2020-2021 Educators of the Year during this meeting since the District was closed last spring due to the pandemic. These outstanding educators are featured in the section below in celebration of their prestigious achievement.

The following new policies and regulations were presented for 1st reading:

• P 1643 - Family Leave (M)
• P 2415.02 - Title I- Fiscal Responsibilities (M)
• P 2415.05 - Student Surveys, Analysis, and/or Evaluations (M)
• R 7425 - Lead Testing of Water in Schools (M)

The following revised policy was adopted:

• P 7425 - Lead Testing of Water in Schools (M)
