Kasper's Notes
Hello Mayo Families,
A very short week ahead with school open only Monday and Tuesday! We hope you all enjoy your families and friends this Thanksgiving break.
Last week we had a stretch of beautiful weather for November. Mrs. Yahres made the most of it with an epic game of Duck, Duck, Goose! Not sure who won, but it looked fun!
Grade 3W and Kindergarten KD came together to work on a kindness project together this week. It was sweet to see all of the students working together!
The Nursing Office is looking for clothing donations. Please see info below!
As a reminder, the Holiday Concert will be held on December 21st. We will keep an eye on the forecast and if a storm is predicted on the concert date (12/21), we will move it to the "snow date" of 12/20. We will be having 2 shows. 10:00 AM for audience/family members for student last names A-M and 2:00 PM for audience/family members for student last names N-Z! ALL students will be performing at both concert times so everyone will be able to see all performers. This performance will include K-5 students plus our new chorus members in grades 4&5!
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to extend my gratitude for the welcome and support I have received at Mayo. I look forward to many more Novembers to come!
Kindly,
Carolan Kasper

What a wonderful kindness activity!
Holiday Giving
The season of giving is upon us, and we will continue our Mayo tradition of providing gift cards for children in need during this holiday season. We will once again partner with Why Me & Sherry's House in Worcester, which is dedicated to providing love and support to children experiencing childhood cancer. We are asking Mayo families to choose a gift card from this link, if you are able to do so. Gift cards can be any denomination and can be sent to school with your child, or brought to Mrs. Trefry in the main office by Friday, December 1st.

Nurse's Office
Hearing/Vision re-tests will take place on November 29th for those students that had a questionable result. A letter is being sent home this week. If you wish to opt-out of the retest, please email Desiree_mangum@wrsd.net. Please note, this is only for students with a questionable result on the initial test and those absent for the initial testing.
The Nursing Office is in desperate need of boys pants size 4-6 and 7-10 and girls pants size 7-10. Donations can be sent to the Nurse's Office. Thank you!
