The Coelho PTO held its second meeting of the year, this past Wednesday. At the meeting, we discussed the idea of gathering parent information to get more involved in the PTO. If you are not aware the PTO over the past 12 years that I have been principal of Coelho, has been instrumental in making what Coelho is today. Some examples are:
- Color Run in which the school raised over $40,000 dollars
- Organizing the Student/Faculty Basketball Game
- Providing grants and funds for guest speakers and field trips
- Organizing Family Paint Night and Family Bingo
- Coordinating the Grade 8 events
- Coordinating the Coelho Book Fairs
- Hosting Teacher Appreciation Week for staff
These are just a couple, to say the least. We are looking for your help to support us so we can continue this great work. Just so you know, the chatter about another color run is in the works as we speak and we need all your help.
