Le Carnaval
Chers parents,
This year ÉPK will celebrate Le Carnaval on Thursday, February 1st. We have organized various activities throughout the day. Here are a few important things to note:
1. We would love to have each class create an ice sculpture. Please have your child/children put a container with a removable lid (ie. ice cream pail, margarine, milk carton etc.) full of coloured water in the freezer for several days and bring it to school the morning of ‘CARNAVAL’. Alternatively, you are welcome to drop it off throughout the day on January 31st. Unfortunately, students are not allowed to bring their ice blocks on the bus. There will be signs in front of the school indicating class names. Please have your child put their ice block in their designated area in front of the school. We kindly ask you to remove the ice block from the container BEFORE dropping it off in your designated spot.
2. Remind your child(ren) to dress warmly - ski pants, toque, mittens, scarf, warm boots, etc.
3. Please remember to send your child to school with their school sash (ceinture fléchée). It would be helpful if you labeled your child’s sash prior to coming to school.
