AIG Testing Fall Opportunity

The window for 4th and 5th grade students for AIG testing will open soon. We are accepting parent nominations until October 13, 2023. Testing will begin on October 16, 2023 and will consist of the CogAT and IOWA. We are looking for 95% or higher to qualify for AIG services in math and reading. Please look at your child's CogAT, IOWA, and EOG scores from last year to make a nomination. Be sure you ask your child's teacher if this type of differentiation is appropriate. Please email cviverette@wcpss.net for questions and to request a nomination form.

Student Clubs

Student Clubs will begin in October! Check out the clubs opportunities for this school year on our school website and keep an eye out for a Sign Up Genius link in early October.

Volunteer Registration

Are you going to go on a Field Trip this year? Help in class? Volunteer? If so please complete volunteer registration as soon as possible. It can take awhile to get completed and is required each year!


Volunteers play an important role in our school district. We are grateful to parents and community members who contribute their time and talents to supporting our students. We do need everyone who plans on volunteering to register at the website or QR code below. For safety and security, it is imperative that you register as a volunteer. If you registered last year, you must re-register this year. Even if you work for WCPSS you must register.

Our parent/student handbook (linked here) contains a list of our school-based policies and procedures. Please take several minutes to thoroughly read through the handbook to ensure that you are knowledgeable about our established policies.

Wow, what a turnout! Thank you to everyone who attended our first PTA meeting of the year on Tuesday. We love your participation!


Meeting minutes will be available on our website soon – but in the meantime, but there are a lot of details in our agenda.


Current needs


  • Become a member

  • Book Fair volunteers! Sign up for a timeslot and get a 20% discount!

  • Fall Fest coordinators: Contact jbmulkey@hotmail.com if you can help:

    • 1) Day-of coordinator to help during the event on 10/20

    • 2) Pumpkin contest coordinator to manage drop-offs & voting

  • Cary residents: Make sure you are registered to vote in support of public education in the October 10 election

  • Food Lion gift cards to refill water jugs in the teachers’ lounge. Drop off at the front office (labeled “PTA Hospitality”), or donate online.

  • Clothing donations: bring new or gently used clothes to the front office. We especially need sizes 5-9, small, or medium – and stretchy leggings!
