Advisory at Holden Middle School is an opportunity for students to create a community with others in their grade, participate in Social-Emotional Learning activities, and receive Academic support. It is an integral part of the Middle School Model that supports students overall.

During the first couple of weeks in Advisory, we have been creating a cooperative environment by coming up with a team name and constructing a flag. Since the character trait for September is Respect we have also had the opportunity to discuss what respect looks like, sounds like, and feels like at school. Digital Citizenship has been another focus for our lessons this month. We look forward to beginning our Victimproof bullying curriculum soon!
