The PAC ALL-Star football game will be played tonight, Monday, 5/22 at Spring-Ford HS, 6:00PM start time.

Boys Volleyball Spring Open Gyms: For any 9-12 grade students who are interested in learning more about the sport of competitive boys volleyball

Thursday’s from 5pm-6:30pm

• Thurs 5/25 – 5pm-6:30pm
• Thurs 6/1 – 5pm-6:30pm
• Thurs 6/8 – 5pm-6:30pm

You must RSVP by 12pm on the day of the open gym, you can sign up in person at the East wing athletics office OR via email to [glegendre@methacton.org]

On Monday, 5/15, Methacton defeated Pope John Paul II in the Pioneer Athletic Conference Final Four Semi-Final 12-2 in five innings to advance to the PAC championship game. Kross Howarth earned the victory on the mound, going four innings and striking out eight. Jake Chapman sparked the offense out of the leadoff spot with three hits, two runs scored and three RBI. Bobby Kleckner, Kross Howarth and Kasey Humes added two hits each. Kross Howarth hit a two-run homerun in the first inning and had three RBI on the day.

On Wednesday, 5/17, Methacton took on Phoenixville in the 2023 Pioneer Athletic Conference championship game held at Spring-Ford High School at 7:00 pm. The Warriors battled to the end and unfortunately lost in an epic 13 inning marathon. Evan Jones and Ty Lohsen pitched magnificently in keeping Methacton alive all night. Many thanks to all of the Methacton fans and family members that showed up to support the team. It was an amazing event and we are proud to have been a part of it.

Methacton finished with a final regular season record of 17-3 (18-4 overall).

The District One 6A Playoffs begin on Monday, 5/22 and the Warriors have earned a bye in the first round as the three seed. We will host the winner of Central Bucks West and Downingtown West at home on Wednesday, 5/24. Come out and support the team!

The Methacton softball team opens up district playoffs on Monday, 5/22, at Springfield (Delco).

The team will be led by seniors Riley Kairer and Avery Schwartz.

Junior Mady Krupiewski and sophomore Jillian McTamney will also play a major part in the team’s success.

If the team wins they will play again on Wednesday at North Penn HS.

PIAA District 1 Championships

The Methacton Boys track team competed at the District 1 AAA championships this past weekend with great results. On Friday, Wesley Conover and Zachary Willen got the day off to a good start, both qualifying for the 100m final. SahBri Hill was also able to earn a 14th place finish in the prelims.

On Saturday, Wesley Conover ran 11.09 for a 5th place finish, automatically qualifying for the state championships. Teammate Zachary Willen ran to an 8th place medal.

Although Zach's senior spring season was setback due to injury, he still graduates Methacton with a phenomenal resume. Zach broke 3 individual records and contributed to another 3 relay school records in his time at Methacton. (Outdoor 100m and 200m dash, Indoor 200m dash, Indoor 4x4, Outdoor 4x4 & DMR). He qualified for the District AAA championships 3 straight years (no districts due to Covid in 2020) and earned 3 district medals (3rd place 200m 2022, 5th place 100 2022, 8th place 100 2023). Indoors, he qualified for the PTFCA Indoor State Championships 2 years straight in the 200m earning a 7th place medal in 2022. In 2023, he anchored the 4x4 relay to a 7th place finish at the PTFCA state championships. A few weeks later, that same relay would run a blistering 3:22 for a 15th place finish at the New Balance Indoor Championships, where he would anchor and split 49.3. These accolades make Zach one of the most decorated student athletes in Methacton School history. We wish him the best of luck as he continues his athletic and academic career at Columbia University.

Later that afternoon, Nicholas Willen ran to a 14th place finish in the 800, 5 places higher than his seed. His time of 1:56.62 is the 2nd fastest in school history. Nick finishes his official track career at Methacton, a member of 2 state medaling and school record holding relay teams. (2022 indoor 4x8, 2023 indoor 4x4). Nick was also on the NB Nationals relay that ran 3:22, where he would split 51.0

In the field, SahBri Hill kept his momentum up from the PAC championships by jumping 43-11.5 in the Triple Jump, good enough for 5th place and an automatic trip to the state championships. This is the 2nd furthest mark of his career.

In the Javelin, Jack Alpher battled through an injury to throw his 2nd furthest mark of the season. His 5th place finish will also send him to the state meet.

The Warriors qualified 3 separate individuals in three different event groups to states for the 2nd straight year. Good luck to Jack, SahBri and Wesley!

5/26-5/27 - State Championship Meet @ Shippensburg University (AWAY)

PIAA District 1 Championships

The Girls team competed in the two-day PIAA District 1 Championships in Coatesville this past weekend. Athletes advance into this highly competitive meet by reaching marks / times throughout the season. From this meet, athletes advance into the State Championships which take place next weekend in Shippensburg.

Day One consisted of preliminaries and finals in various track and field events. In the Long Jump, Summer Mellow hit a PR (19-5.5) to win the District title! Summer also advanced to the finals in the 100m during day two. In other competition, sophomore Soleil Bond-Johnson hit two PRs in the Long Jump to end the season on a high note and junior Kenslee O’Donnell ran a strong time in the 300m hurdles but missed advancing to the finals by .02 seconds. Aubrie Wells matched her season PR in the Pole Vault (10-6) to finish 9th, while Senior Analiesa Geiling competed in her final race in the 100m Hurdles finishing 12th. Finally the team of Molly Thomas, Bipasha Mokten, Julianna Trigone and Kate Thomas competed in the 4x800 relay.

On Day Two, Summer finished strong in the 100m finals to place 3rd and advance to the State Championships next weekend. In the other event of the day for Methacton, Kate Thomas ran a PR in the 800m and hit the State qualifying mark however did not advance as 15 girls hit the standard as well (only the top 8 advance).
