LPS elementary school students joined their peers across the country in celebrating the joy of reading as part of Read Across America festivities last week. Schoolwide activities included guest readers, dress-up days, special projects and more. At various times, students were encouraged to participate in “reading trains” and to “Stop, Drop & Read” which led to them finding interesting places to indulge their love of books!

LHS PRESENTS SPRING MUSICAL!
Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
Rich in historical and ethnic detail, its universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.
You won't want to miss it!
Tickets are available for purchase at www.lhstheater.com.

TIP OF THE WEEK: If you are still deciding on what to study, think about what you like (hobbies) and what you're good at (academics, other skills). This is what can help you in doing further research into different majors.
