Hello Patriots!

It was a fantastic past week at TJ with our Patriots getting in their first 5 day week in of the second semester. Looking at the week ahead, Extended Learning and TJ AIR start tomorrow for those invited to participate. As a reminder the programs run until 5:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays until Spring Break. Also this week, Interim Progress reports will come home on Friday.

Our February Asynchronous Service project is just a couple of weeks away and we have a fantastic opportunity for our students to give back to Louisa County. On February 14th, our Patriots will have the opportunity to pack 10,000 meals to donate to Louisa’s Resource Council. We are partnering with Meals of Hope and this experience also provides a great opportunity for our students to practice the 5Cs - collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and citizenship. Patriots will measure, pour, weigh, pack, and/or create a Kind Card to accompany each meal. Your student will not want to miss this! A permission slip will come home on this week with an RSVP form attached to an informational flyer. All Meals of Hope RSVP forms will be due back to school no later than Friday, February 9th. We can’t wait to see you all there!

We are thrilled to announce that LCPS will be accepting preschool applications for the 2024-2025 school year beginning on Monday, January 22nd. If your child will be four years old by September 30th, 2024 he or she may be eligible to enroll in our program. Our community partner, MACAA, is also accepting applications for their preschool program for children ages three to five years old. Be on the lookout for our information flyer coming home this week!

We are looking for donations for this year's 5C project, Wonder Park. Please see the flyer below or coming home with your Patriots this week.
