Dale Krueger Scholarship-due April 5
Remember, the Krueger Scholarship has TWO parts. One is the online application that goes to US Bank and the second part is an optional 10 page exhibit document emailed to: neuenschwander@gresham.k12.or.us. Do NOT just share the exhibit pages from your drive. They must be emailed. See the instructions manual here.

Remember, seniors must have a 2.0 GPA or better and plan to attend an Oregon Community College in the fall. There is no second chance to go back later to apply for these funds.

Daniel Paul Scholarship-due Feb. 22
Applicants must meet the following requirements and provide the listed materials:
- Graduate from Barlow High School and college-bound
- 3.2 GPA or higher
- Have participated in sports and athletics throughout their high school career
- Be able to demonstrate active participation in student life and/or the community while in high school
- Embody many of the traits and attributes of Daniel Paul, including but not limited to leadership, athleticism, inquisitiveness, inclusivity, relentlessness, kind, generous, adventurous, compassionate.
PLEASE remember to include TWO letters of recommendation in your application. Please see the Daniel Paul Scholarship website for directions.

Pediatric Nursing Certification Board Diversity Scholarship-due Feb. 3
About this scholarship:
This scholarship supports the education of an undergraduate nursing student who:
- Identifies with an ethnic or culturally diverse background, racial diversity, gender diversity, disability, or otherwise a member of a historically marginalized community and
- Is pursuing a degree to become a registered nurse and
- Has a strong interest in pediatric nursing for their future.
Additional qualification criteria:
- Acceptance into or current part-time or full-time enrollment in an accredited undergraduate nursing program.
- Must have an expected graduation date within four years or less.
- Must be in good standing academically, GPA of 3.0 to 4.0 (based on a 4-point system).

Army Corps of Engineers Engineering Day Trip
Each year, during National Engineers Week, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, hosts high school students from around the Portland metro area for a day of hands-on engineering activities.
As the first in-person event hosted by Portland District since the pandemic, we look forward to having a fun, engaging, and social event. Students will spend the day learning about various engineering disciplines and other related professions.
14 students can attend our Engineering Day event on Feb. 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Transportation is provided. Sign up today!

Forecasting with Careers in Mind
Sam Barlow High School offers a FAST (Future Apprentice Student in the Trades) Track Pre-Apprenticeship program for Juniors and Seniors. Completing the FAST Track program will help save a student years of waiting to get into an apprenticeship.
Students who qualify for the FAST Track Program must have:
- Completed Integrated 1 Math with a C grade or better
- Completed 1 year of Woods or Metals classes with a C grade or better
- AND students must complete Integrated Math 2 and a second year of Woods or Metals by the end of their senior year.
