Easley Weekly Update
Everything You Need to Know for the coming week.
April 23, 2023
a note from the principal
It was wonderful seeing so many families at the PTA pizza party on Friday night.
This Wednesday, April 26 is Administrative Professional Day. Please join us in celebrating our awesome office staff!
Ms. Solomon joined the front office staff during COVID and was such a wonderful addition. During intersession she moved to the Charlotte area to be closer to family and is serving as a receptionist in Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Schools. While we miss Ms. Solomon, we are excited to welcome Ms. Nancy Middleton to the front office. Ms. Middleton is joining us from E.K. Powe where she was a teacher assistant. Her first day with us will be tomorrow.
Early Release Day
Our next Early Release Day is May 3rd and school will dismiss two hours early.
Spring Book Fair
Our book fair officially opens this week! As always, all purchases benefit our library. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair:
- The fair will take place from Monday April 24th- Thursday 27th from 7:15-3:00 and on Friday April 28th from 7:15-10:00. The book fair will close at Friday at 10:00, so please keep that in mind when planning your shopping. Parents are welcome to come anytime during those hours.
- KidCredit is an easy way to set up your child with money so you do not have to send them in with cash or a check. Check the Easley homepage and Bloomz for info on how to do it.
- Please contact caroline_hartley@dpsnc.net with any questions
EBOB Recognition
Our EBOB students will be competing in the Regionals on Saturday April 29th. We are going to take them around the school for a burst of encouragement on Friday 4/28 at 1:30 pm. Parents of EBOB students are welcome to attend. We are so excited for them and know they are going to represent Easley and DPS well on Saturday!
