Vista Unified Community Update
Principal's Update
Happy Friday Panther Community!
We hope you are well and were able to stay warm and dry this rainy week! With so much rain and colds/flus going around, we thank you for calling the attendance office each and every time your student is absent. This helps us account for the students in our care, and helps students get the help they need from their teachers when they are able to return. Every minute of learning time in school is important, so please encourage your students to be on time, every day!
We have a number of exciting parent events coming up that we look forward to presenting this Spring! From exciting sporting events, to Family Registration Nights to pick courses for next year, we want to see you and hear from you! There are multiple ways to get involved and advocate for your child’s best education, including School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Council, Community Schools Advisory Council, and Coffee with the Principal. We also invite you to our “Healthy Minds” and “Parent Institute for Quality Education” workshop series to make the most of your student’s school experience. Let’s keep in touch!
Have a wonderful weekend, and don’t forget to check out all the announcements below for these great events.

From the Librarian
The San Diego County Library has made its digital and audio books available to thousands of local students throughout the county. Any student in Vista USD, using just their student IDs, may check out the library’s collection of age-appropriate digital materials via Sora, an app used by school districts.
Additionally, every VHS student can check out the San Diego County Library’s Teen Book of the Month with their student ID through the Sora app— the ebook and the audiobook! Unlimited checkouts means no waitlists or holds.
