Senior Baccalaureate

Class of 2023 seniors, family and friends - Join us tomorrow (Saturday, June, 3rd) at Skyline Church at 10 am for a pre-graduation celebration! Baccalaureate includes a senior slideshow, farewell messages honoring the senior class, light refreshments AND the opportunity to snap photos of your grad in their cap and gown with family and friends. Seniors should arrive by 9:30 a.m. in business casual attire with their cap and gown to check in and take a group photo!

On May 16, 2023 the Grossmont High School District recognized 22 distinguished athletes for their exceptional sportsmanship. Steele Canyon nominees include Faith Manis and Branden Jackel. Faith is a two-time CIF Champion in wrestling and the league MVP in volleyball. She also won the sportsmanship award at the CIF State wrestling tournament. Faith will be playing volleyball for Grossmont College next year. Branden is a 3 year varsity baseball player and captain of the team. He has a scholarship to Point Loma Nazarene where he will study engineering and play baseball.

Congratulations to Head Track and Field coach Charles Tyler who was recently named the CIF San Diego Section Girls coach of the year! Coach Tyler also serves as the athletic director and the AP Government teacher.

Here is the Process to follow:

1. Students/Parents can complete the attached registration. form and return via email to Sarah Adams at shunteradams@ymcasd.org
2. The parent will then get an email with information on signing the electronic liability waiver and email Sarah Adams once they have completed it.
3. The students will then be able to visit the branch on a guest pass until SCHS has processed the membership payment.
