Important Information for the End of the Year
As always, we will need your help to ensure a safe and calm conclusion to what has been another great school year. Please continue to demand high expectations from your students in your classroom.
Please be diligent in assuming your assigned responsibilities that are listed below:
HALLWAY SUPERVISION
Teachers, please help us out by limiting students in the hallways these final weeks of school.
LOCKERS & LOCKER CLEAN UP
An announcement will be made over the PA prior to all scheduled locker clean outs. Please be in the hallway assisting students in their clean up. We will only have 2 days of locker clean out. If you have students who would benefit from additional days, please coordinate with our custodial staff as a house to schedule those.
Monday, June 5th:
7:05 am - 7:30 am - INITIAL Locker Clean Out
2:30 pm - 2:36 pm - Locker Clean Out
Wednesday, June 7th:
2:30 pm - 2:36 pm - FINAL Locker Clean Out
During Locker Clean Outs, please check for library books, classroom texts, workshop library books.
Monday, June 5th - 7:05 am: during locker clean out, please ask your students to take items off the inside of their locker door, take shelves down and bring most of their locker contents home with them that afternoon. RECYCLE using classroom bins. We will make a whole school announcement when all students should be returning to class.
Monday, June 5th 2:30 pm - 2:36 pm: during locker clean out students should be taking everything home except for what they will need for the next two days of school. All other materials, decorations, etc.. need to be removed from the locker.
Wednesday, June 7th at 2:30 pm: FINAL locker clean out. During this clean out everything must be removed from the lockers (The LOCKS STAY - HAVE STUDENTS LOCK THEIR LOCKERS WITH THE BACK OF THE LOCK FACING OUT (yes, like itโs been frenched) ; DO NOT ALLOW STUDENTS TO TAKE THEM HOME. Students without locks on their lockers will be charged). Please review with students that no backpacks, gym bags, purses, etc. should be brought to school on the last day. Cell phone expectations: off and not being used.
Thursday, June 8th: NO BACKPACKS, STRING PACKS, PURSES, ETC... will be brought to school. Cell phone expectations, off and not being used. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BRING THEIR iPADs. Please plan classroom activities accordingly.
If lockers are determined to need cleaning, students will be charged a cleaning fee.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL INFORMATION
SCHEDULE For Thursday, June 8
12:36 - 2:36 = ALL HANDS ON DECK - we need all staff to have some type of supervision at this time.
7TH GRADE, 7TH GRADE DL, 6TH GRADE QUEST and 7TH GRADE QUEST STUDENTS
At 12:36 students will go directly to their assigned classroom, take informal attendance (not in IC) to make sure you have all your students and then disperse them based on your plan.
7 Grey's plan is business as usual. Students will stay in their area on the first floor and have activities within their core classrooms.
7 Blue will be heading to their 6th hour class after lunch. From 6th hour Students that have earned the reward will head to the auditorium for a movie. IF the 8th grade carnival gets rained out, 7 Blue will be in their 6th hour rooms for the reward.
7th Grade DL students will be doing activities in their rooms.
6th grade Quest will keep our 6th grade students for the full time, We will be using the QUEST rooms 59, 49, and 45.

8TH GRADE STUDENTS
8th grade core staff and students will be participating in the celebration located in the large gym, small gym, and outside. 8th period teachers will bring their students down to the large gym at 12:36 pm and remain with all the 8th graders to provide supervision during the celebration. Teachers who have both 7th and 8th graders will send students to the appropriate locations.
The celebration is for 8th grade students only, but it is not solely the responsibility of 8th grade teachers. It is a celebration of the work students and staff have done over 3 years. ALL available teachers/staff are asked to assist with supervision and enjoy the celebration with 8th grade students.
8th Grade Celebration Supervision - all stations will mostly be set up prior to you arriving. On the second shift, we ask that you pick up that area and put equipment in a pile/container available at that location.
