MEDICATION PICK-UP & FREE VISION EXAMS
PICK UP ALL MEDICATIONS BY MAY 25
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We request that you plan to pick up any medication or supplies your child may have in the school clinic. All medications (prescription and over-the-counter) must be picked up by May 25th. Any medications not picked up by May 25th will be discarded as we cannot keep medications over the summer.
If your child requires medications for the next school year, please remember to fill out a Medication Authorization Form. Provide the Medication Authorization Form and medication to the school clinic when school begins in August.
Please Note: All prescription medications MUST have a Doctor's signature for the clinic staff to administer the medication. All medications MUST be in an original labeled container with an expiration date.
Please notify the clinic if your child plans to attend summer school and requires medication or has healthcare needs such as diabetes, asthma, seizures, or allergies. Medication forms and health care plans are required during summer school.
Thank you,
The Elkins Pointe Clinic
FREE EYE EXAM - NO COST - MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FROM JULY 3 TO 14!
Fulton County Public Library System FREE Eye Exam and FREE Glasses for Kids! July 3rd– July 14th from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. NO walk-ins will be accepted! Space is Limited!
You MUST pre-register online: https://forms.gle/aSjhxMHUxyLUaYmD7.
Exams are on a first-come, first-come basis. You will receive a confirmation email IF your child has been selected for an exam.
In coordination with Vision To Learn, this summer, Fulton County Public Library System will offer vision screenings, eye exams, and, if necessary, glasses for your child. These services are free and will be provided at NO COST to you. Quality vision care is an essential component of education; students that cannot see often struggle to learn to read, see the board, and succeed academically.
During this event, your child will be screened. If your child fails the screening, a trained and licensed Optometrist will then perform a basic eye exam on your child and will prescribe glasses if appropriate. You will be informed if your child may need follow-up care. Following the eye exam, if your child needs glasses, they can pick from various frames, and glasses will be ordered for your child. Approximately 4-6 weeks later, Vision
To Learn will return to the library to deliver your child's glasses. You will be notified by library staff once the glasses are ready for pickup. The eye exam and eyeglasses are available to all students who need them at no out-of-pocket cost to parents or children. FREE!!!

Final Summer School letters were mailed out last Friday. Parents should be receiving them this week if their child has to attend. Please check the sweep bus schedule for transportation options. Summer School will begin on June 5th from 8:55 a.m. to 1:20 p.m.

JUNIOR JAPAN BOWL
Our 8th graders (Daniel Gamba, Sydney Godoy, Aiden Schefstad, and Harris Whittle) excellently competed in the Junior Japan Bowl. One of the Elkins Pointe teams ranked rank in 5th place (see below) out of 14 schools and over 30 teams. Our Titans did terrific, especially since many middle schools had a strong Japanese community or students had participated in a Japanese immersion school in elementary school. Congratulations to the Junior Japan Bowl 5th-Place Winners. Thank you to all the parents and staff who logged onto YouTube to watch Elkins Pointe compete.
*Special thanks to our 8th grade admin Ms. Ida Ward for appearing in the "Level 3: from senpai & sensei" section with me in the digital program!
