Monday November 20th
- Welcome Canadian author Rita Feutl! We're grateful to have been able to reschedule this amazing opportunity for our students after a cancellation last week.
Wednesday November 22nd
-St. Mary's is excited to welcome presenter Al Crawford! Al Crawford is a local youth who has been traveling extensively as a powwow singer and is a Drum keeper, Powwow, and Round dance announcer, ceremonial helper, and youth worker. He will speak about how the drum and powwow singing helped him overcome many challenges and struggles in life.
- Grade 4 welcomes a presenter from Inside Education for a classroom presentation.
-Hot dog pre-orders due. Our Booster Group volunteers appreciate your clearly labelled order with exact change.
Thursday November 23rd
- Hot Dog Day! Huge thanks to the many volunteers that keep this fun lunch program running! Every order helps raise funds that the Booster Group use to help our school with "extras" like the climbing wall, resources and field trips!
-Town Light Up! Join us on Main Street for this Town of Sexsmith event. Start the Christmas season with beautiful lights, free hot dogs and hot chocolate, fellowship, and some of the finest caroling around from some pretty important people! 😉 This annual town event marks the beginning of the "Christmas In Sexsmith" weekend.
Friday November 24th
- Watch your inbox, Report Cards will be emailed home for all students in grades K-8.
-Trimester 1 ends for JH Options. Reminder that all T1 JH Option fees are past due, and are payable online through the PowerSchool Parent Portal or in the office.
Saturday November 25th
-Christmas in Sexsmith continues. Find St. Mary's staff and students selling student created Christmas cards at the market, a terrific community connection and fundraiser for our school!
-JH Athletes from our sports teams will be joining Ms. Sage-Oake for the Reverse Santa Parade, collecting non-perishable food and toys/ gifts for the Sexsmith and Area Food Bank's Christmas Hamper Program. Watch for wagons to stop by your home to collect! Unable to donate that day? Our school is also running a toy drive to benefit the Sexsmith and Area Food Bank Christmas Hamper Program too!
November Parent Teacher Interviews are coming up on Tuesday November 28th and Wednesday November 29th from 4:00-7:00pm each night. Mrs. Hammel (PreK) and Ms. Megan (Catholic Family Services) will be available on Tuesday night only. Please find the SignUp Genius here to book your appointment time(s) with your classroom teacher or Ms. Megan. All are welcome to attend the Parent Advisory Meeting at 7:00pm following PTI's to learn about new ventures and happenings at the school. The Scholastic Book Fair will be open both evenings during PTI's for your early Christmas shopping enjoyment, and as always, the office will be open for fee payment, help with the PowerSchool Parent Portal, or just to pop in to say hello!

Hot Lunch Orders for Pizza Hut!
Families can now order hot lunch through their PowerSchool Parent Portal Account! Once inside your account, select your child's name and then navigate to the "School Fees and Forms" section on the left-hand side, and then choose the hot lunch order form that suits your preferences, or place orders for multiple lunches at once, for multiple children.
Our next lunch is from Pizza Hut, to be served on Thursday December 14th. Log into PowerSchool here to place and pay for your order: https://gpcsd.powerschool.com/public/ before Wednesday December 6th.

Medication at School
- All medications must be locked in the office. Students cannot have medication in their lunch kits, lockers etc.
- Over the counter medication cannot be administered at school unless a parent is present to administer.
- Prescription medications can be administered and stored in the office when the form found below is properly submitted to the office, and the medication is in it's original labelled packaging.

Fees for Term 1 options as well as previous month PreK fees are past due. Please contact the office if you're unsure of your student's current fee standing, or if you'd like to make arrangements for payment. Failure to pay fees may result in removal from programming.
