During the festival, all of the students reauditioned for the chance to move on to Region V Band Festival. Congratulations to Brandon Mooney! He was selected to represent Big Spring in the Region V Band Festival. This is Mooney's second year representing Big Spring at this festival.

Due to the early dismissal on January 8th, the PM module of the Literature Keystones was administered on Thursday, January 18th, in the afternoon.
FFA News
On January 8th, a group of students received awards at the Farm Show.
The following students received Keystone Degrees: Morgan Bear, Taylor Donovan, Conner Griffie, Cory Latchford, Olivia Monismith, Allyson Shively, and Becky Webster.
The following students were jacket recipients: Joshua Fertig, Elisabeth Girton, Hannah Varner, Chesnie Hosfelt, Abigail Beidel, Zoe Koser, Alexis Detwiler, Alexus Peters, Tyler Davis, Shelby McCullough, and Jacob Matthews
The Ag Issues Team received 3rd place.
The Window Display received 11th place.

CPAVTS Students Participate in the Skills USA District Competition
Jarrett Blake, a junior, won 1st place in the HVAC category at the Skills USA District Competition.
Kyrsten Browne, a junior, won 2nd place in the Dental category at the Skills USA District Competition.
Anthony Cleary, a senior, received 1st place in the Electronics Technology category at the Skills USA District Competition.
Casey Hagmier, a junior, received 1st place for his wedding cake topper, 2nd place for his mixed herbs planter, and 5th place for his poinsetta all at the PA Farm Show.
Dalton Kiner, a junior, won 1st place in the Information Services Technology category at the Skills USA District Competition.
