Klaus Pless Competes in Beach to Battleship
Klaus highly recommends the Beach to Battleship full and half triathlons. He swam in a wetsuit for the first time and finished 2.4 miles in 52 minutes, thanks to the strong tide. The 112 mile bike goes through downtown Wilmington. His legs were tired at the start of the marathon, but the large crowd cheered him on. He thought often of quitting and going to a local bar he saw along the course. The thought of seeing his family at the finish line kept him going. He was happy to see them at the finish with a time of 12 hours! Kudos to this outstanding accomplishment!

Splashing Accomplishments
The Athens Marathon: Tyler Scott competes at the site of the first marathon. According to legend, it covers the same ground that the Athenian messenger Phiedippides ran when he brought news of victory from the battlefield of Marathon 2,500 years ago. When you run the Athens Marathon, you run in the very footsteps of the ancient gods and heroes that gave birth to western civilization. The finish line is in Athens' magnificent Olympic Stadium, the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games. Tyler says the Athens Marathon is an experience he will never forget.
