The SHS Fine Arts Department held their Winter Concert on Monday, December 18th in the auditorium. It was a collaborative performance of, Chorus, led by Ms. Rachel Senior; Band, led by Mr. Devin James, and Art, led by Dr. Mark Jones. Attendees were greeted with wonderful works of art by SHS art students as they entered the auditorium and the chorus and band students put on a magnificent performance to a packed house!
And the Beat Goes On
We are so proud of the following band students who were each presented with a $50,000 scholarship, over a four-year period, to continue their band endeavors at Central State University. Band Director for CSU, Mr. Blake Gaines, personally presented the scholarships to the students.
Mr. Gaines is a former SHS Band Director. We appreciate him returning every year to support our band SemiNOLES!

SHS Goes to the Governor's Mansion
On December 8th, SHS students visited and dined at the Georgia Governor's Mansion as a result of winning the Georgia Center for Civic Engagement (GCCE) 2023 'Be the People Voter Drive Contest'. Students met with former Senator, Kelly Loeffler, and Insurance Commissioner, John F. King. The experience helped our students to gain more insight on the importance of voting and being an active participant in civic engagement.
Coming Home
We love it when our SemiNOLES come back and share what they have been up to after graduation.
Jordan Tuft, a SHS 2023 graduate and former MJROTC Cadet completed Marine Corps basic training in November and is headed to combat school in January. We are proud of her!
SHS Cheer Community Service Project
Thank you SemiNOLES family for donating over 200 items to SHS Cheer December Community Service Project to benefit Project Renewal .
