Student Spotlight: Jordan H
Jordan is a Senior at University School in Johnson City, TN. She is currently enrolled in U.S. Government & Civics and Digital Photography. She was nominated for a student spotlight by her Government teacher, Mr. Bible. Here is what Mr. Bible shared in his nomination: "Jordan has been a complete delight and honor to have as a scholar in my online US Government course. She goes above and beyond in her studies to truly grasp the material. Along with her studies, Jordan plays for University School's tennis team and recently became one of the first female Eagle Scouts in East Tennessee! She is currently working on dual enrollment courses and plans to go into the Endodontology program at High Point University or Wake Forest. I am immensely proud of her work ethic and insightful progress and have no doubts that her future is going to be very bright and productive!"
We asked Jordan to share about her experience with Niswonger Online. Here is her response: "In my Niswonger Online experience, I've found the flexibility of online courses particularly enjoyable. This flexibility allows me to tailor my schedule to accommodate both my photography and government classes. For instance, I relish the freedom to capture unique moments during the day for my photography assignments, and later, engage with government course materials at my own pace. The online format has proven invaluable in enhancing my time management skills, granting me the ability to balance my passion for photography with the academic rigor of my government class. As I delve into the intricacies of each subject, I appreciate the diverse perspectives shared by fellow online learners, contributing to a dynamic learning environment. Furthermore, the interactive nature of the online platform fosters engaging discussions, expanding my understanding of both photography techniques and government policies. The seamless integration of technology not only complements my learning style but also prepares me for the digital landscape of higher education, offering a glimpse into the future of academic endeavors. Ultimately, my Niswonger Online experience has become a cornerstone in shaping a well-rounded and efficient approach to my class schedule and college preparation, allowing me to pursue my passions while gaining essential knowledge for my academic journey."
Jordan, we are so proud of your success this semester and honored to play a small role in preparing you for the next steps in your education.
