Rancho Roundup - Week 14

I want to thank and congratulate Coach Jesse English, our now former baseball head coach. He has been hired by CSUSM as their pitching coach! As we search for a new head baseball coach, we have much to thank him for; from his time as an assistant with Tim Fay, to leading the way for our most recent League Championships. He shared, "I appreciate the opportunities given to me by Dr. Villarreal, Mr. Fay, and RBVHS."

Our Welding 2 students are ready for our new CTE building to open up! We will begin the transition very soon and look forward to all our students creating.

Congratulations to one of our band students, Brady Reed, for being selected for the California All-State Ensembles! Students from around California audition to be selected to perform in the California All-State Ensembles. Brady auditioned and was selected as one of California's top French Horn Musicians!

Be SMART for Kids educates adults about the importance of secure storage of firearms and about asking about the presence of guns in homes where children are visiting. Be SMART is non-political and non-partisan, and is endorsed by the PTA on a national level.

The Moms Demand Action North County group will be focused on Vista the coming months as it was ranked the highest in gun violence in North County. Here is the link to the most recent zoom recording and the link to the slide presentation. During this time, they discussed information and stats around gun violence in schools, and the second half (starting at minute 25) reviews our new School Safety Guide.
