AIS End of Year Flash

And That's a Wrap! Merci! ¡Gracias! Thanks for a Great Year! (from Mr. Jacques)
When our school year started with masks, physical distancing, and cohorts, big community events felt far, far away. But then it happened! Our STEAM Fair at the end of April helped relaunch many of our community connections. On a personal level, my heart was so warmed the moment the first parents and guardians stepped foot on campus. Since then, my colleagues and I were all incredibly happy to celebrate so many fantastic accomplishments over the last few months: 8th-grade graduation ceremony, CM2 promotion ceremony, the CM2 and Middle School dance, AIS's first spelling bee, cheering the AIS Owls soccer as they become league champions, community coffees, spirit nights, and of course, our community picnic. Despite all the challenges thrown at us this year, we have remained united as a community, supporting one another through even the most difficult times. We did it, and we did it together. Thank you to all of the students, family members, teachers, and staff members for helping us realize our vision of a community fostering respect, leadership, and empathy through interculturalism and the joy of learning. Thank you for modeling our core values. Most importantly, thank you for being you. Have a wonderful summer break full of laughter, relaxation, reconnection, learning, and fun. À bientôt !
Field Day Fun
Thank you to all our Field Day Committee members: Mr. Peter, Ms. Marta, Géraldine, Mélanie, Ms. Wilnelia, & Ms. Mónica for organizing such a fantastic event for our students this week and to our parent volunteers and all the Middle Schoolers who helped pass out popsicles and man the stations. A good time was had by all!
School Assembly & Congrats!
We had an all-school student assembly on our last day of school to celebrate the year and the accomplishments of our soccer team, our chess winners, our spelling bee winners, math winners, our CM2 & 4e graduates, watch the CM2 dance video, our Middle Schoolers in the Galapagos, and we sang the AIS school song! What a fantastic way to end the year and a big thank you to Mr. Cédric for leading the event.
